1988 Jaguar XJS Hess & Eisenhardt Convertible

Rare Hess & Eisenhardt XJS V12 Convertible. Only 22,100 Miles And Three Owners. Glacier White With Mulberry Leather Interior And Black Cloth Power Top. Originally Sold For $47,000. Outstanding Condition. A Luxury Cruiser That Is a Joy To Drive. A Lot Of Car For The Money.  VIN SAJNV584XJC146872.

Hess & Eisenstadt, custom coach-builders since 1876, built only 838 of these convertibles under license from Jaguar for the 1988 model year. This was the first year of the XJS convertible and arguably the best. Note how flat the top boot fits when the power top is lowered and compare it to the later models made at the Jaguar factory. This car has a 5.3 liter aluminum alloy V12 motor that puts out 262hp and a GM 400 automatic transmission. Other features include automatic A/C, adjustable steering wheel, heated seats, electric lumbar support seat adjustment, heated rear window glass and outside rearview mirrors, polished wood veneer interior trim, trip computer, full independent suspension, rack and pinion steering and, 80-watt AM-FM 4-speaker stereo system with power antenna. The original spare on a alloy wheel has never been used. This car also includes all of the manuals, an original factory brochure and, a complete 4-volume set of factory shop manuals. In Jaguar's own words, these cars are "classically elegant, enticingly agile, uncommonly powerful, and extraordinarily enjoyable".
