Volkswagen Zertifikat Of Authenticity/ VIN 116832912. This car was built on May 31 1966 In Emden, Germany, delivered through the port of New York to Nathan B. Tucker, Inc. a Volkswagen dealership in Beverly, MA. Mr. Tucker ordered this car for his own personal use. He installed many optional accessories when new and then shipped the car to his summer home in Gilmanton, NH. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Tucker encountered some health problems and he passed away in 1968. Because his wife did not drive, the car was garaged with 5,826 miles on the odometer. It was not used again until 1988 when it was given to their grandson. He serviced the car and then parked it again until 1995. Since then, it has been meticulously maintained, stored in a climate-contolled environment and driven only occasionally. The only work done has been complete detailing, oil changes, plugs and points, a new master cylinder and wheel brake cylinders, valve cover gaskets, and wiper blade inserts (all genuine VW parts).
