This outstanding 1961 190SL won Best Of Show in the International 190SL Group concours in 2006. Since that time, it has continued to win numerous awards at other prestigious car events. The current owner has spent countless hours and has made a significant investment continuing to make it better. During this time, he has driven the car 5000 miles and now has it dialed in to perfection.
Improvements include: A re-build of the entire drivetrain and suspension by Black Forest LLC; re-built gauges and controls to operate as new; electronic distributor; heavy-duty sway bar; halogen headlamps; dimmable instrument lighting; modern water hoses and clamps; gear-reduction starter; seat belts; re-built and recovered seats by Black Forest; K & M air filter modification. All original parts are included with the car.
Also provided is a set of Coco mats to protect the correct rubber floor mats and rear boot. The underside, trunk, engine bay and, engine component finishes are all factory correct and in pristine show-quality condition. The original tool kit and bag, original books and, ownership documentation are also included.
